<p>Y junto a la anterior nos llega un juego en el que tenemos que arriesgar nuestra vida para salvar la de otros: <a href="https://www.msxgamesworld.com/software.php?id=6603">Storm Rescue</a>. Es la sexto juego que se presenta a nuestro <a href="https://www.msxblog.es/concurso-msx-basic-9o-edicion/">Concurso MSX-BASIC</a>, lo cual no está nada mal, y eso que aún queda tiempo para cerrar el plazo de participación. Recordad que tenéis <strong>hasta el 20 de febrero hay plazo para presentar vuestros juegos</strong>. ¡No lo dejéis todo para última hora!</p>



<p><strong>Renato Murta</strong> es el autor de Storm Rescue. Como curiosidad, nos comenta que el juego lo tenía hecho desde 1990 y que nunca llegó a publicarlo. Y como en los últimos años retomó la programación en BASIC con especial atención a MSX-BASIC-KUN, decidió echar mano de la idea original y rehacer el juego desde cero.</p>



<p>El resultado es el que vemos en estas líneas, un juego de acción en el que manejamos un helicóptero de rescate cuyo escenario de misión es una costa acantilada donde un un barco está a punto de hundirse. En ese barco hay gente que tenemos que recoger y llevar hasta la parte alta del acantilado donde nos esperará una ambulancia para el traslado hacia el hospital. </p>



<p>Pero como en la vida real, pilotar un helicóptero de salvamento marítimo no es fácil. Aquí nos tocará bregar por un lado con la inercia del propio helicóptero y por otro con la inestabilidad meteorológica que se ha adueñado del lugar: empezará con vientos racheados que nos desplazarán rápidamente hacia donde no queremos la mayoría de las veces y luego harán acto de presencia unos impresionantes rayos que nos pueden freír al instante.</p>



<p>A la mayoría de las personas las recogeremos en la cubierta del barco pero otras, presas del pánico, caerán al agua y habrá que recogerlas con una escalera (con estas últimas hay que darse prisa en sacarlas para que no se ahoguen). La dificultad en la aproximación hace que el control del helicóptero tenga que ser lo más preciso posible para no amerizar ni tampoco chocar contra el barco. El secreto de un buen aterrizaje es colocarse bien, bajar lentamente y dejar que la gravedad nos acompañe hasta el suelo.</p>



<p>Antes de cada misión, tenemos una simpática animación en forma de briefing donde se nos cuenta qué está pasando y cual es nuestra misión. Y también al terminar o fallar la misión veremos un informe de nuestra actuación.</p>

<p>Aquí tenemos la quinta entrada al <a href="https://www.msxblog.es/concurso-msx-basic-9o-edicion/">Concurso MSX-BASIC</a>, obra de Kike Madrigal bajo el sello MSX Murcia y que lleva por título <a href="https://www.msxgamesworld.com/software.php?id=6602">MSX mansion</a>.</p>



<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>Tras recibir una carta de invitación para una RU en la mansión MSX, Kike se propuso pasar el día en este lugar para ver los aparatejos viejuners.</p><p>Llegado el día se presentó en la puerta de la mansión y un inquietante portero le dio 4 regalos como agradecimiento a su asistencia.</p><p>Vaya, cuando Kike estaba dentro, la puerta se cerró de repente y tuvo que buscar otra salida.</p><p>Que miedo, la mansión era tan antigua que habían espíritus errantes.</p><cite>Historia de MSX mansion</cite></blockquote>

<p>Como reza la introducción, nuestra aventura empieza atrapados en una mansión encantada. Nuestra misión es escapar a toda costa evitando a los enemigos y además usar los regalos que el portero nos dio al comienzo. Estos «regalos» son más que herramientas y armas que usadas en determinadas situaciones nos ayudarán muchísimo: </p>



<ul><li>La espada puede matar a los enemigos.</li><li>El rayo nos permite destrozar muros.</li><li>El empujador sirve para mover bloques.</li><li>La escalera nos ayudará a escalar paredes.</li></ul>



<p>Y estas herramientas se gastan de un nivel a otro así que hay que usarlas bien para optimizar el camino hasta la salida de cada uno de los laberintos. MSX mansion cuenta con 9 niveles agrupados en tres mundos en los que el escenario cambia y además recuperamos todas las herramientas. </p>



<p>Cada pantalla tiene un tiempo límite para superarla. Si el contador llega a cero perderemos una vida y empezaremos de nuevo. También perdemos una vida si un enemigo nos alcanza o pisamos una calavera. Como ayuda, hay relojes repartidos en algunos lugares de la pantalla que si los recogemos ganaremos unos segundos preciosos para cumplir nuestra misión.</p>

<p>Y acabamos el día presentando <a href="https://msxgamesworld.com/software.php?id=6576">Island War</a>, de <a href="https://msxgamesworld.com/search-results.php?aut=1597">Zoran Majcenić</a>, la cuarta entrada al <a href="https://www.msxblog.es/concurso-msx-basic-9o-edicion/">Concurso MSX-BASIC</a>.</p>



<p>Este juego de estrategia nos pone en medio de un escenario bélico donde controlamos nuestra propia isla que se encuentra en medio de otras dos controladas por el enemigo. Nuestro objetivo es someterlas a toda costa (nunca mejor dicho) usando para ello nuestro armamento nuclear y la propaganda política.</p>

<p>Disponemos de varios comandos que ejecutaremos dando órdenes a través del teclado como armar y lanzar misiles, fabricar, lanzar un satélite de defensa o incluso utilizar la propaganda para atraer a los ciudadanos a nuestra causa. El combate se desarrolla por turnos y en cada uno de ellos tendremos que decidir qué hacer conforme esté la situación. En cualquier momento podemos conocer el estado de nuestra isla (armamento disponible y número de habitantes).</p>

<p>Hoy toca avalancha de juegos del Concurso MSX-BASIC. Y es que debido a un error de configuración del correo electrónico del concurso, los mensaje no llegaron correctamente. Una vez subsanado, es el momento de presentaros con mucha ilusión las entradas que forman parte ya de la historia de nuestro Blog.</p>



<blockquote class="wp-block-quote"><p>Agujitas es un pequeño erizo un tanto peculiar. Nunca aprendió a caminar y se desplaza por el bosque saltando. Agujitas no soporta el agua y por supuesto nunca aprendió a nadar.&nbsp;</p><p>Pese a sus extrañezas todo el bosque aprecia a Agujitas, bueno… todos menos Paco el Pajarraco, que vuela entre los árboles buscándolo para hacerle la vida imposible.&nbsp;</p></blockquote>

<p>Es el turno de <a href="https://msxgamesworld.com/software.php?id=6575">Crazyjump</a>, de <strong>Juan Carlos Jurado</strong>. En este juego de plataformas debemos guiar al erizo protagonista a través de diferentes pantallas saltando de plataforma en plataforma evitando caer en el agua o chocar contra el maldito pájaro que se interpone a veces en su camino.</p>



<p>Controlamos con la barra espaciadora el ángulo y la potencia del salto, por lo que es importante calcular bien la trayectoria en cada circunstancia.</p>

<p><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://twitter.com/sla_shalafi" target="_blank">Raúl Portales</a> nos presenta <strong>SpaceCat</strong>, un juego de habilidad donde el objetivo es llevar al gatito protagonista de un extremo a otro de cada uno de los laberintos que conforman cada pantalla evitando chocar con sus paredes. Aquí los efectos de la gravedad, la aceleración de la nave y la inercia del movimiento tienen una importancia vital, de ahí que la pericia en el control de los mandos de la nave sea imprescindible para lograr el objetivo.</p>



<p>Como es lógico, al ser Raúl parte del jurado del concurso, <strong>SpaceCat no entra a participar de manera oficial</strong> sino que es una manera de animaros a todos a enviar vuestras creaciones y que veáis de manera gráfica lo que se puede presentar al concurso. No se trata de hacer GotY ni de complicarse demasiado (bueno, eso ya depende de cada uno de vosotros), sino de pasarlo bien y aprender programando en MSX-BASIC.</p>

<p><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://twitter.com/Juanmoralesgui1" target="_blank">Juan Morales</a> ha publicado recientemente su último trabajo titulado <a href="https://www.msxgamesworld.com/software.php?id=6259">Demonia</a>. Y seguramente el título elegido nos suene a todos por <a href="https://www.msxgamesworld.com/software.php?id=1654">el videojuego de Microïds</a>, publicado en 1986, que recordaba vagamente al clásico de las recreativas Ghost&#8217;n Goblins. </p>

<p>Pues bien, este nuevo Demonia creado por Juan está <strong>realizado usando el MSX-BASIC</strong> y funciona en MSX de segunda generación. A pesar de las limitaciones del lenguaje, su autor ha conseguido hacer un <strong>arcade que entretiene</strong> y es un auténtico reto dada su dificultad en algunos puntos del mapeado. </p>



<p>Demonia se inspira claramente en el juego del mismo nombre. Sus gráficos son muy parecidos a los del original y el mapeado es casi el mismo, pero aquí la diferencia está en lo que el lenguaje BASIC es capaz de conseguir con el esfuerzo de su programador: para quitarse el sombrero. Una estupenda melodía nos ameniza la pantalla de título, obra de <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://twitter.com/bitcaffe" target="_blank">@bitcaffe</a>, y durante la partida oiremos algunos efectos de sonido . </p>

<p>Aquí <strong>el control del personaje es más preciso </strong>lo que permite avanzar con muchísimas más garantías. Eso sí, como he comentado, <strong>no es un juego fácil</strong>. Es muy<strong> riguroso en el salto y la detección de colisiones nos hará saltar de la silla</strong> en más de una ocasión. Disponemos de varias vidas para conseguir llegar al enemigo del final pero la barra de energía irá disminuyendo poco a poco. Cuando se agote, nuestra partida acabará irremediablemente. Menos mal que hay algunas cápsulas repartidas por el mapeado que nos darán un respiro. Conviene, por tanto, no entretenerse demasiado en superar las diferentes pantallas de las que consta el juego.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Como viene siendo <a href="http://www.msxblog.es/concurso-2016-basic-tenliners/">costumbre desde 2016</a>, regresa el concurso de programación en BASIC organizado por HOMEPUTERIUM. El concurso está abierto a cualquier tipo de sistema que tenga un BASIC instalado en su memoria bien sea consola u ordenador. Y el año pasado participaron tres juegos para MSX.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">La limitación mayor del concurso es crear un <strong>programa de tan solo diez líneas de código</strong> como máximo, no obstante, hay varias categorías definidas en las que se puede participar y este año además se añade una nueva:</p>
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li>PUR-80: 80 caracteres máximo por línea, permitiéndose el uso de abreviaturas.</li>
<li>PUR-120: el límite de caracters aumenta hasta los 120 por línea.</li>
<li>EXTREME-256: se permite  hasta 256 caracteres por línea.</li>
<li>FREI: categoría libre sin restricciones en el uso del BASIC, para los más osados.</li>
</ul>
<p>El plazo de presentación de juegos estará abierto <strong>hasta el 24 de marzo</strong> y posteriormente el 7 de abril se celebrará una ceremonia de entrega de premios en la ciudad alemana de Lübeck.</p>
<p>Estaré atento por si se presenta algún juego para nuestros MSX.</p>

Y varios de ellas han sido realizadas en MSX-BASIC.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">Este 2012 está siendo un año bastante prolífico en cuanto a concursos y competiciones de todo tipo. A MSXdev&#8217;12, #msxdev y nuestro Concurso MSX-BASIC 2012 se le une otro más, <a href="http://rsp.retrocomputacion.com/" target="_blank">Retrospectiva 2012</a>, un concurso que se divide en tres categorías bien diferenciadas (gráficos, música y videojuegos en BASIC)  pero con el denominador común de los 8 bits. Aunque no es exclusivo de MSX es igual de estimulante y esperamos ver alguna producción para nuestras queridas máquinas japonesas.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">El concurso está organizado por comunidad argentina Retrocomputación y el plazo de presentación de entradas finaliza el 14 de abril de 2013. Como nota a destacar está la circunstancia de que <strong>este concurso ha sido declarado de interés cultural por el Gobierno argentino</strong>, cosa que es de agradecer y que espero que el Gobierno español algún día tome en serio las iniciativas culturales en este sentido.</p>
